Student Leadership
On behalf of Concordia Student Leadership, welcome to Concordia University Irvine! We are so excited to serve you over the course of this school year. Every year, a collective group of student leaders select a theme verse as a way to showcase the hopes of the University. For the 2022-2023 academic year, the theme is ‘Transformed’ from Romans 12:1-2, which reads, “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect” The purpose of this verse is to remind us that through Jesus’ death and resurrection, we always have newness of life. Christ is faithful, merciful and walking alongside us each and everyday while also transforming our hearts and minds. It is our prayer that this year be one where you can allow for Christ to Transform your life as you experience His great mercies every day. You are loved by Christ and you are never alone.
The ASCUI Team and I encourage all students to get involved at Concordia. Concordia University provides many opportunities to get integrated into college life, whether it is in ministry, music, clubs, theatre, leadership, athletics, or many other activities. If you, as a returning or new student, have any questions, please stop by the Center for Student Leadership & Development and a fellow student will be more than happy to assist you.
