iPhones offer a multitude of advantages over other smart phones. The one unique thing that the iPhone offers is it's interface. The ability to pinch and zoom, touch tap to scroll, move images around and so forth.
The iPhone was famous when it came out with the auto-rotate feature that once you rotate your device, the screen rotates to either portrait or landscape. By doing so, Apple revolutionized the whole method mobile computing on the go, by introducing these features and more.
In addition, it was the first mobile phone to offer decent internet connectivity, a buil-in phone, with an iPod and built-in email capability. Even though the Blackberry had email capability hands-down, Apple brought the smart phone to the next level where a smart phone is truly a smart phone.
But most importantly, Apple introduced first Mac OS X device that fits in the palm of your hands. The ability to introduce a GUI interface that removes the Mac OS X from site, and only emphasize the power and flexibility of a specialized UI to meet the needs of the mobile market, Apple truly made its phone stand apart from the competition. And these were the key advantages of an iPhone.
