The faculty and staff at Concordia University Irvine are very eager to welcome you into the Concordia Family. We are excited that you have chosen Concordia University Irvine for your educational experience. The Office of Orientation and First-Year Experience focuses on providing you a welcoming and supportive environment that prepares you with valuable resources that are critical in transitioning successfully here at Concordia University Irvine. Our office is available to help you navigate your first year, whether as a new freshman or transfer student, and help make Concordia your new home.
Our office is thrilled to host you and your supporters at WOW: Week of Welcome that kicks off August 18th, 2023. During orientation, you are invited to experience a weekend of sessions and events intentionally designed to ease your transition to Concordia. Join us for our favorite traditions of Welcome Worship, Late Nite, and the crowd-favorite... THROWDOWN (A competition between all of the PAL groups for the Throwdown trophy). You will get to meet your Peer Advising Leader (PAL) or Transfer Mentor that will help you learn about key campus resources, events, and experiences. There are plenty of opportunities for parents, family, and supporters during WOW to meet other families, discover campus resources, and learn about how to support your Golden Eagle.
