Mission Statement

The Office of Institutional Research and Assessment (OIRA) serves Concordia University Irvine by providing sound, action-oriented research in order to support institutional assessment, decision-making, and strategic planning. The office strives to provide reliable and accurate information that will help decision-makers to act on behalf of students and the community to foster student success and institutional effectiveness.

Deborah Lee is the Director of Institutional Research and Assessment and the Accreditation Liaison Officer at Concordia University Irvine. Her background is in criminology, sociology, and research methods. She oversees institutional research, assessment, regional accreditation, and specialized accreditation at Concordia while also serving as the co-chair for the Retention and Persistence Committee. As an alumna of the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) Assessment Leadership Academy, Deborah serves on the WSCUC Academic Resource Conference Proposal Review Committee, and is currently serving her third year on the California Association for Institutional Research Board (CAIR) Board of Directors. This year will be her first year serving as an IPEDS Educator along with 29 other individuals in her cohort.
